Adults and children were treated to a variety of activities, including magic shows, live science experiments, and tours of Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen’s new Pediatric Emergency Room during a ribbon cutting event for the unit on Friday, August 4. The Valley Baptist-Harlingen Pediatric Emergency Room opened to receive patients on Monday, August 7.

Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen now offers geriatric behavioral health services to older adults in the Rio Grande Valley. The inpatient services are offered through a new 12-bed Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit located on the third floor of the west tower at Valley Baptist-Harlingen that is equipped and staffed to match the needs of older adults.
