WASHINGTON – The Tropical Texas Behavioral Health Center will receive a $3,785,402.00 federal grant for the Tropical Texas Behavioral Health CCBHC Expansion Program to advance mental and behavioral health in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced. The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

“With the ongoing mental health challenges brought on by COVID-19, resources for mental health and substance abuse treatment providers cannot fall by the wayside,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I applaud this investment in Valley residents’ health and I will continue supporting efforts to strengthen these critical services.”
