EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health, one of the largest physician-owned hospitals in the United States, proudly serving the Rio Grande Valley since 1997, is excited to welcome Dr. Kayvon Kiani to our esteemed team at the DHR Health Urology Institute. Kiani looks forward to serving the people of the Rio Grande Valley by providing advanced care for urinary and pelvic conditions, including kidney stones, enlarged prostate, and cancers of the kidney, bladder, and prostate. He specializes in minimally invasive approaches and advanced surgical techniques to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

“We are proud to welcome Dr. Kiani back to the DHR Health family,” said Marissa Castañeda, senior executive vice president at DHR Health. “His extensive training and dedication to patient care will strengthen the services we provide to our community. We look forward to the positive impact he will have on the lives of patients across the Rio Grande Valley.”

Kiani earned his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Illinois, and his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed a general surgery internship at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, followed by a urologic surgery residency at the same institution, where he gained extensive training in the latest techniques in urologic care.

In addition to his clinical training, Kiani has contributed to research in urologic surgery and has presented at national and international conferences, including the American Urological Association and the World Congress of Endourology and Uro-Technology. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, and the South Central Section of the American Urological Association.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to care for the people of the Rio Grande Valley,” said Kiani. “My goal is to provide patients with the most advanced and minimally invasive treatment options available, while always focusing on compassion and personalized care. I look forward to helping patients improve their urologic health and quality of life.”

Kiani is now accepting new patients at the DHR Health Urology Institute, located at 2603 Michelangelo Drive in Edinburg, and at the DHR Health Specialty Clinic, located at 505 Angelita Dr., Suite 14, in Weslaco.
