PHARR, Texas – As part of efforts to ensure students have the resources and experiences necessary to succeed, the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) School Board of Trustees recently signed three agreements to continue partnerships with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

The agreements with the School of Nursing Program, Educational Experience Affiliation, and College of Health Professions, will allow PSJA ISD and UTRGV to collaborate to create educational experiences for current university students and ultimately PSJA ISD students interested in health science careers.

As part of the agreements, PSJA ISD will be providing UTRGV personnel and university students supervised access to patients for practicum rotations. Through the collaboration, PSJA ISD hopes to expand opportunities for students interested in health science to be exposed to tours, orientations, and hands on workshops from UTRGV.
