The RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Health and Women’s Committee proudly present their annual Pink & Blue Breast Cancer Luncheon with one new addition this year.  The Luncheon will focus on both Breast and Prostate Cancer.  Breast Cancer is on the rise in men as well, and Prostate Cancer could have less casualties if men would learn the signs of this dreadful disease.  The luncheon, scheduled on Tuesday, October 13th at the Double Tree & Suites (formerly Embassy Suites) from 11:30 to 1:30pm will have a panel of 4 Expert Doctors familiar with the cancer’s.  Speaking at this year’s event are Dr. Luis Ramirez, OBGYN who will speak on self examination and how to detect abnormalities; Dr. Alvaro Restrepo, Oncologist, will cover the procedures that are used when cancer is discovered depending on the stage; Dr. Luis Reyes, surgeon, will discuss what is done when reconstructive surgery has to be done if 1 or 2 breasts are removed and Dr. Manuel Espinoza, who will speak on Prostrate Cancer.  Power point presentations will be made with time remaining for questions and answers.

Tickets are $30 each reserved tables of 10 for $400.  Sponsorships are still available at $500, $1,000, $1,000 and $3,000 giving sponsors an opportunity to have a vendor table to display their materials.  Display tables for the general public are $75 for RGVHCC members and $125 for future members.  Doors will open early at 10am so people can visit the vendor tables.
