Are you a Senior citizen?  Do you need health screenings and information on services that you can be receiving for free as a Senior?  Well, make plans to attend the RGV Hispanic Chamber annual “South Texas Senior Summit” to be held on Thursday, April 30th at the Mission Event Center.  The doors will open at 8:00 am.  

There will be free health screenings such as blood pressure, glucose testing, foot, eye, vein screenings, flu shots, etc.  In addition, there will be booths with different organizations representing the city, county, state and federal government advising of the free services that a senior can apply for.  Door prizes and a Dance add to the excitement of the day.  Coffee, snacks, water, and lunch will be provided for the seniors.  

Attendance has grown to over 800 seniors from throughout the Rio Grande Valley.  Vendors who offer services or products to the senior community can get a booth or even sponsor the event through a Goody Bag, Medicine Bag, Health Passport or entertainment sponsorship.
