South Texas Health Clinics will host the 5th Annual South Texas Symposium on Trauma, Critical Care & Emergency Surgery, the only event of its kind in the Rio Grande Valley. This premier educational conference will bring together leading trauma, emergency surgery, and critical care experts from across the nation for dynamic presentations, case discussions, and collaborative learning.
This year’s event features 12 presenters, including two special speakers:
- Dr. Patricia L. Turner, MD, MBA, FACS – Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the American College of Surgeons, one of the most influential medical organizations in the world.
- Jacob Pratt – the sole survivor of a 2025 helicopter crash near La Grulla, Texas, who will share his inspiring story of survival, resilience and recovery.
