STC to Showcase Health Science Programs Feb. 28th in McAllen

For the second year in a row, South Texas College will host an Open House at its Health Science Professions campus for community members interested in pursuing careers in health care, showcasing a wide range of the college’s 14 health science programs. 

The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in interactive hands-on demonstrations, connect with experienced faculty and speak with current students about their experiences.

They will also have the opportunity to learn about the academic requirements and career opportunities within programs such as Nursing, Patient Care Technician, Emergency Medical Services, Health Information Technology, Pharmacy Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant and the upcoming Dental Hygiene program.

There is a growing demand for skilled health care professionals across a wide array of careers in the Rio Grande Valley and beyond.

This event provides an opportunity to shine a spotlight on essential careers, highlighting how health science professions offer rewarding and stable career paths. By showcasing these programs, STC aims to inform the community about the diverse opportunities available.
