One of a Kind Conference to Honor and Educate “Circle of Care” Caregivers hosted by DHR

Edinburg, TX—10/24/17—In honor of National Family Caregivers Month, DHR Health Rehabilitation Hospital is proud to host  the 4thAnnual “Circle of Care” Caregivers Conference on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. The conference will educate caregivers about local support and resources, the skills needed when providing care, and how to care for yourself as you care for others.

National Family Caregivers Month recognizes the courageous individuals who step forward and help care for those in their lives who are affected by illness, injury, or disability. By celebrating each November, we thank those who humbly do so much to keep our families and communities strong by devoting countless hours to providing care for loved ones. Through the “Circle of Care” conference, DHR Health Rehabilitation Hospital aims to increase awareness about family caregiver issues, celebrate caregiver efforts, and educate caregivers about the many resources available to them.

Registration for the “Circle of Care” conference on November 18th will begin at 7:30 AM, with breakfast and the first speaker starting promptly at 8:00 AM. Throughout the day distinguished physicians, nurses, and wellness educators will present on topics such as healthy eating, stress management, neurology, relaxation techniques, stress relief through laughter, DHR Health invocation and pastoral services, and advanced directives. This year’s conference will also feature interactive workshops and entertainment! Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided to all attendees.
