Mission Community Joins Forces for Free Health Fair Event to provide free health screening services to low-income area.

MISSION, TX – The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the City of Mission and Mission Regional Medical Center to host its 24th Annual Mission Community Health & Wellness Fair. The event will be held at the Mission Event Center on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event is free, open to the public and will provide free screenings, awareness, and education.

The Mission Regional Medical Center’s laboratory team will provide a free master blood test to the first 500 people, in which a 12 hour fast is required before the test. Free health screenings will be provided as well and will include some of the following services:

-Flu Vaccines

-Complete Blood Count

-Total Cholesterol

-Comprehensive Metabolic Panel

-Pulmonary Function

-Bone Density

At the fair, attendees can learn more about local health services and participate in interactive exercise classes for all ages, “The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce is committed to adopt and advocate a healthy environment that supports citizens coming together to engage in significant work for the well-being of the City of Mission” said Brenda Enriquez, President & CEO at the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce.

The Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce will provide local organizations and business members the opportunity to gather to help educate and serve, “It is great to have so many dedicated organizations join forces to make this year’s event a community-wide effort.” In these efforts, the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce aims to truly make a difference in the quality of life by providing vital services to local low-income individuals and families.
