DHR Health is pleased to welcome Dr. David Heredia Sierra to the DHR Health Heart Institute. The electrical engineering graduate from the University of Louisville, Kentucky went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Ponce, Puerto Rico and served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Ponce. EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health is pleased to welcome Dr. David Heredia Sierra to the DHR Health Heart Institute. The electrical engineering graduate from the University of Louisville, Kentucky went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine at Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Ponce, Puerto Rico and served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Ponce.

Between July of 2021 and June of 2022, Dr. Heredia completed the Palmetto General Hospital Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Miami, Florida before joining DHR Health.

Using catheter-based treatments, Dr. Heredia diagnoses and treats patients with coronary artery disease, vascular disease, and acquired structural diseases (TAVR, Watchman). He specializes in peripheral vascular disease and percutaneous embolism thrombectomy.

Dr. Heredia is excited to be a part of the Rio Grande Valley community and is proud to bring his expertise in the cardiology field, as well as his ability to communicate in both English and Spanish to patients in the region.
