Harlingen Medical Center Celebrates 13 Years of Service to South Texas with Community Health Fair

Harlingen – The award-winning and nationally recognized Harlingen Medical Center (HMC) will mark its 13th Anniversary during the month of October by offering a series of events aimed at improving the lives of the people of South Texas!

A South Texas leader in cardiovascular care, Harlingen Medical Center will launch its anniversary celebration when it hosts the Harlingen Medical Center 13th Annual Community Health and Wellness Fair Friday, October 2, 2015, at its main lobby, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., in Harlingen. With more than two dozen partners-in-care, the hospital will offer free medical screenings, wellness education services, a lecture on “Living a Better Life through Better Eating,” and much more.  The event will offer attendees door prizes, including cash cards, hive-a-ways and a healthy breakfast!

Along with the HMC Community Health Fair, Harlingen Medical Center, will offer multiple Doc Talk Lectures which will kick-off its season of physician lectures (October 2015-May 2016); its HMC Digital Mammogram Special for only $99 (during the month of October) in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month; will host its Annual Charity Golf Tournament (Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Rancho Viejo Resort & Country Club), which will benefit “Ribbons of Hope” as they help women stay strong post their diagnosis; and, will partner with community organizations and businesses to educate and promote health and wellness.
