Edinburg, TX—Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System is proud to be the title sponsor and host of the 2016 Rio Grande Valley “Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” which will be held on Saturday, November 19th at 8:30 AM. We invite the community to join us for the Walk as we unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions of Americans that are affected by this disease.

The “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” is an event where the community joins together in a display of combined strength and dedication to the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The Walk will be held at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, located at 118 Paseo del Prado in Edinburg. The “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” is a great event for the whole family; at just 1.5 miles, participants can walk at their own pace.

Alzheimer’s disease is a growing epidemic and is now the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death. As baby boomers age, the number of individuals living with Alzheimer’s will rapidly escalate, increasing well beyond today’s estimated 5.4 million Americans afflicted by the disease. The Alzheimer’s Association’s “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
