The free celebration will kick off with the arrival of Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus, who will be available for free pictures with the children. As in past years, Santa will arrive on a fire engine.

Christmas carols will ring through the main entrance of the hospital as several high school choirs perform holiday favorites, including the Hanna High School “Jive” Choir directed by Travis Carie, the Porter High School “Estudiantina Tenampa” directed by Eric Hugonnett, and the Pace High School “Encore” Choir directed by William Armour.

Valley Baptist’s Administration team will treat everyone to freshly-baked Christmas cookies, hot chocolate, and punch – and read Christmas stories to the children, including “The Night Before Christmas.”

“Our Community Christmas is a wonderful way to both welcome the festive holiday season and connect with the community we serve on a daily basis,” said Leslie G. Bingham, CEO of Valley Baptist Medical Center–Brownsville. “This is an opportunity for Valley Baptist and local families to celebrate Christmas and the traditions we enjoy here in Brownsville together.”
