Beginning February 1st, local McDonald’s restaurants will hold a fundraiser to support Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) South Texas in their mission of keeping children near the care they need so families can get better together. The fundraiser, coined ‘Share the Love’ will take place at McDonald’s restaurants across South and Central Texas from Feb. 1-14, benefiting four RMHC chapters: RMHC of Central Texas, RMHC of San Antonio, RMHC South Texas and RMHC of Temple.
“The Share the Love fundraiser has provided over $60,000 for our House and programs each year. We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from McDonald’s Owner/Operators,” said Michelle Horine, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities South Texas. “The generosity of McDonald’s and their customers shows us that small support can make a big difference for our House and programs in South Texas.”
Participating in the RMHC Share the Love campaign is easy! When you visit McDonald’s, simply add a donation of $1, $3, or $5 to your order in the drive-thru or at the register inside the restaurant. Participating locations will have paper houses on display, each one representing a donation that will benefit the local RMHC chapter.
“Through the Share the Love fundraiser, we are proud to serve our local Ronald McDonald House with the generous support of our customers. These donations help provide families with a place to stay during a difficult time,” said Maria Acosta, McDonald’s Owner/Operator.
In addition to the two-week fundraiser, customers can donate to RMHC anytime they visit McDonald’s by choosing to round up their check to the nearest whole dollar. Round-Up for RMHC is available at kiosks inside the restaurant or by letting the cashier know in the drive-thru or the front register that you’d like to round up your purchase.
