Edinburg, TX— Doctors Hospital at Renaissance is excited to announce their 2nd Annual Obesity and Gastroenterology Summit in collaboration with Cleveland Clinic. The medical educational summit will take place at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance on February 19 and 20, 2016. Faculty from Doctors Hospital at Renaissance and Cleveland Clinic will be present to share their experiences and expert opinions on the management of difficult and diverse obesity and gastrointestinal diseases.
The two-day continuing medical education conference is designed to engage physicians with other health care practitioners interested in diagnosis and management of challenging obesity cases and to expand on the latest advances in the field, including esophageal disease, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel disease, and endoscopy. The in-depth multidisciplinary sessions are also designed to engage physicians in the discussion of innovative solutions to the causes of obesity, preventative strategies, and therapeutic management approaches.
At this conference, attendees will:
- Review guidelines for diagnosis and management of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Irritable Bowel Disease, and Barrett’s disease
- Discuss treatment options for patients with Hepatitis, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, and Non Alcoholic Steatohepatits
- Discuss appropriate management of the bariatric patient
- Design strategies that maximize the influence of lifestyle and diet therapy in weight loss maintenance
- Review new advances in bariatric medicine and surgical intervention
