Driscoll, City team up for COVID-19 Vaccination Site

CORPUS CHRISTI – Driscoll Children’s Hospital and the City of Corpus Christi are teaming up to care for the community one free vaccination at a time. The vaccine will be available to people 65 and older.

The City of Corpus Christi and Driscoll Children’s Hospital COVID-19 Vaccination Site will be at the American Bank Center, 1901 N. Shoreline Blvd. Use the main entrance at the corner of Shoreline Boulevard and Resaca Street. There is no charge for parking.

Please check the website regularly at www.driscollchildrens.org/covid19vaccine to see if the vaccine is available. If so, make an appointment on the website. Once the vaccine has been received, you also can make an appointment by calling 1-844-977-1477 Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Please call the same number if you need to cancel an appointment.

The quickest way to sign up is online. You may experience hold times using the Call Center.

There is no charge for getting the vaccine and there is no early preregistration for the vaccine. However, you must have a scheduled appointment to get the vaccine. Do not arrive more than 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

Do not come to the vaccination site if you are currently sick with COVID-19 or have been diagnosed within the last 14 days.

The days and hours the City of Corpus Christi and Driscoll Children’s Hospital COVID-19 Vaccination Site will be open will be determined based on the day the shipment is received and the number of vaccines received. Once it arrives, we will update the website and open registration.

All vaccines will be administered inside the American Bank Center; none will be given in cars in the parking lot. Assistance will be available for people who need help getting in the building.

You will be automatically signed up for the second dose on the day you receive your first. The date of your second dose will depend on which vaccine you received. You must get your second dose where you got your first; it must be the same product/brand.

Driscoll Children’s Hospital will post on www.driscollchildrens.org/covid19vaccine when the vaccine becomes available. All appointments will be on a first-to-schedule, first-to-serve basis.
