Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen to Serve as Down by the Border Vehicle Decal Distribution Site

HARLINGEN – In an effort to support the health and well-being of our community, Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen will serve as a registration and distribution site for Down by the Border vehicle decals beginning Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the hospital’s East Tower Lobby. The decals, which are affixed to the rear of vehicles and designed to alert local law enforcement that a child with special needs may be onboard, are provided free of charge to parents of special needs children. 

Representatives from the Harlingen Police Department, San Benito Police Department, Rep. Oscar Longoria’s office, and State Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr.’s office are scheduled to be in attendance for a brief press conference on Monday, June 24 at 9 a.m. in the Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen East Tower Lobby.
