Inaugural DHR Health Mother to Bee Expo set for February 9th

Edinburg, TX — DHR Health and the DHR Health Women’s Hospital are proud to announce the inaugural Mother to Bee Expo on February 9, 2019! The Mother to Bee Baby Expo is designed for new and expecting mothers to learn more about health and wellness topics for both their baby and themselves. Mothers get to interact with healthcare professionals and ask questions while learning about local resources.

Located at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, the Mother to Bee Expo will feature presentations by local physicians, educational workshops, fitness activities, and cooking demonstrations. These informational sessions are aimed to empower mothers throughout their pregnancy and prepare them for the arrival of their baby. Mothers can expect to learn about Lamaze, baby safety, how to prepare quick healthy snacks and how to can keep active before and after delivery. Dads can also attend to learn about baby basics such as changing a diaper, how to swaddle a baby, feeding tips and how to support their partner. Moms will also see the latest trends in maternity wear on the runway in our Maternity Fashion Show featuring clothes from local shops.

“We are really looking forward to hosting this event. We are excited to invite new and expecting parents to join us for our first Mother to Bee Baby Expo,” says Aida Martinez Gonzalez, Vice President of DHR Health Women’s Hospital. “This is a free community event filled with fun, entertainment, and knowledge that will be helpful during their first months as a new family.”
