EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health, the leading healthcare system in the Rio Grande Valley, is excited to welcome Dr. Francisco Javier Sesatty to our prestigious team at the DHR Health Physical Medicine and Rehab Institute. Dr. Sesatty is double board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as brain injury medicine. He specializes in treating individuals who have experienced physical impairments due to injuries or conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, or muscles. As a physiatrist, Dr. Sesatty focuses on helping patients manage pain, regain independence in daily activities, and improve their overall quality of life. His treatment approach focuses primarily on non-surgical methods, but when necessary, he collaborates with other specialists and surgeons to ensure patients receive the most effective care for their condition.

Dr. Sesatty earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He then completed a physical medicine & rehabilitation residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Dr. Sesatty, a native of Eagle Pass, Texas, is fluent in Spanish, which helps him connect with and better serve the community of the Rio Grande Valley. He takes a personalized approach to rehabilitation, focusing on each individual’s unique needs to support their recovery and overall well-being. 

“My goal is to help people get back to living life on their own terms—whether that means playing with their kids, going for a walk without pain, or simply feeling like themselves again. Every patient’s journey is different, and I’m here to listen, support, and find the best path forward for them,” said Dr. Sesatty.
