Edinburg, TX— Doctors Hospital at Renaissance is proud to announce that Dr. Michael Burke, Pediatric and Adult Neurosurgeon, will now see patients in the lower Rio Grande Valley at the Renaissance Specialty Clinic in Brownsville, TX. As part of the Neurosurgery Institute at Renaissance, Dr. Burke and his team utilize the most advanced technology and surgical techniques to provide comprehensive care to both adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Burke received his Doctorate of Veterinary and Master of Science degrees from Colorado State University and continued to complete his Medical Degree at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. He completed his Neurosurgery residency training at the University of Colorado and the Denver Children’s Hospital. Dr. Burke is dual Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a Neurosurgery Specialty Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Burke is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgery.

In October 2016, Dr. Burke expanded his clinic to Brownsville, as a way to increase access for members of our community in need of neurosurgical services. At the Neurosurgery Institute at Renaissance, Dr. Burke and his team treat disorders such as aneurysms, brain tumors, congenital brain and spine malformations, hydrocephalus, neural tube defects, spina bifida, spinal cord tumors and more.
