Edinburg, TX— Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System (DHR) is partnering with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) to host the “Veterans Health, Education and Benefits Fair” on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.  The fair will take place at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance, located at 118 Paseo del Prado (McColl Road and Alberta), Edinburg, TX, 78593. Veterans and their spouses are welcome to attend this event, free of charge.

“Doctors Hospital at Renaissance is pleased to co-sponsor this event along with state and federal agencies for the purpose of keeping Veterans in our area informed about services available to them for healthcare, housing, jobs and education,” said Ron Tupper, DHR Senior Consultant who is coordinating the event for Doctors Hospital at Renaissance. “We are also pleased to announce that Dr. Carlos Cardenas, DHR Board President will welcome the veterans at the opening ceremony; and Joseph Dalpiaz, Veterans Administration Network Director, Dallas Regional Office will be the keynote speaker and address current and future Veterans healthcare services in South Texas. Congressman Ruben Hinojosa, a longtime supporter of veteran’s health issues will also address the veterans in attendance,” said Tupper.

DHR is hosting the “Health, Education and Benefits Fair” for Veterans in an effort to bring together services from throughout Texas to our LRGV location, as well as to provide Veterans with the opportunity to check their current claim statuses in real time with participating veteran service agencies at the event.
