BROWNSVILLE, Texas – DHR Health Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Zain Sayeed invites community members to attend free Arthritis and Joint Replacement Educational Seminars that will take place at 12:00 p.m. on November 4 and December 2, 2025, at the DHR Health Brownsville Hospital, located at 4750 North Expressway.

The seminars will focus on understanding and managing arthritis, as well as exploring treatment options such as joint replacement surgery.

Sayeed is a fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeon from Harvard Medical School and the only surgeon in the Rio Grande Valley with fellowship training specifically in adult reconstruction. He specializes in advanced procedures including anterior hip replacement, robotic-assisted surgery, tourniquet-free total knee replacement, hip preservation, and patient specific instrumentation.

Sayeed said the seminars are part of his ongoing effort to provide patients with clear, reliable information about their joint health. By addressing common questions and misconceptions about arthritis, he hopes to help participants make more informed decisions about their care.

The seminars are free and open to the public and include a complimentary lunch. Registration is required.

“Arthritis affects about one in every ten people, yet it is often misunderstood,” said Sayeed. “Through these seminars, I hope to help people recognize the early signs of arthritis, learn ways to slow its progression and better manage their symptoms, and understand when joint replacement might be the right option for them.”
