South Texas Health System Children’s will host its popular Children’s Fall Festival on Friday, October 24, exactly one week before All Hallows’ Eve.

Since 2007, STHS Children’s has hosted the can’t-miss event of the spooky season to celebrate the magic and mystery of Halloween in a festive-yet-safe environment while promoting the importance of community connectedness.

Over the years, the Children’s Fall Festival has grown in popularity and size with the addition of carnival rides and interactive games, an illuminated spooky forest, a food court area and 50 eerie-sistibly decorated booth spacesproviding tricks and treats for attendees.

“Featuring the participation of STHS facilities and departments, government and community organizations and local businesses, all interacting with kids of all ages in their creatively decorated booth spaces, this year’s Children’s Fall Festival has become the go-to event of the Halloween Season. Providing a creative and educational outlet for children and their families, the event serves as a marvelous example of how we can come together as a community to celebrate the beloved holiday and foster social connection while bringing smiles to children’s faces in a safe environment,” says Tom Castañeda, System Director of Marketing & Public Relations, South Texas Health System. “More than 6,000 people attended last year’s Children’s Fall festival, making it one of the biggest Halloween events in the region. Based on the excitement surrounding this year’s event, we’re expecting another successful celebration!”

Taking place in the main parking lot of STHS Children’s, this year’s Children’s Fall Festival will be held on Friday, October 24, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Everyone in the community is invited to attend the pre-Halloween event, which is free to the public. The first 500 children who arrive and register at the festival’s main entrance will receive a free box of popcorn and a collector’s STHS Children’s t-shirt.
