“Sarah brings with her a deep well of experience and a familiarity with South Texas that is invaluable. Her many years of medical service to the Rio Grande Valley will be critical as construction continues on Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, the only designated, freestanding pediatric hospital in the Rio Grande Valley,” said Eric Hamon, President and CEO of Driscoll Health System. “The entire Driscoll Health System will benefit from Sarah’s knowledge and expertise. She will fit in well with the Driscoll team.”

“I am incredibly proud to be joining the Driscoll Health System team. Driscoll’s reputation for providing quality healthcare to the children of South Texas is well known throughout the Coastal Bend and in my home area, the Rio Grande Valley. As a healthcare professional and a mom, pediatric healthcare has always been an area that I have been extremely passionate about. This is one of the many reasons why I am excited for this opportunity to not only continue the mission of the Coastal Bend, but also to expand its presence in the Rio Grande Valley,” said Sarah.

Sarah has spent the last 14 years in operations and senior leadership roles with Valley Baptist Physician Network in Harlingen, a network of 95 providers, with 17 outpatient clinic sites and six facility-based service lines.

She had been the Senior Director of Physician Practice Operations & Physician Practice Development there since March 2012. While at Tenet Physician Resources, Valley Baptist Physician Network, Sarah was key in expanding the physician network.

“I want to thank Dale for his years of outstanding service to Driscoll and wish him the best in retirement. Driscoll Health System has grown and prospered under his guidance,” he said.
