Five HCA Healthcare Facilities Best Places to Work in 2021

HOUSTON, TEXAS — Five HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division facilities were recently named a Modern Healthcare 2021 Best Places to Work. 

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, Rio Grande Regional Hospital, Texas Orthopedic Hospital and HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division Office, who ranked #1 in the providers category, were recognized at the Best Places to Work Gala held in Chicago on September 16. 

“Our colleagues are united by a common purpose to support the health and well-being of our patients and each other, said Troy Villarreal, president of HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. “Every day, we seek to build a culture recognized and celebrated for our universal contribution to elevating the standards of care in our communities and for caring like family. Even through the challenges of a pandemic, our colleagues continue to raise the bar in healthcare. These multiple awards reinforce the effectiveness of our work to continually put our colleagues and patients first in everything we do.”

Modern Healthcare’s 14th annual Best Places to Work program identifies and honors 150 outstanding companies and organizations within the U.S. healthcare industry that empower employees to provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products and services. This distinction requires a special commitment to culture and excellence. Modern Healthcare partners with the Best Companies Group on the assessment process, which includes an extensive employee survey.

The full list and rankings of all 2021 winners was included in a special supplement published by Modern Healthcare in their September 20 issue.

HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast, Rio Grande Regional Hospital and HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division Office are consecutive-year Best Places to Work recipients. Texas Orthopedic Hospital is also a multi-year winner, making the coveted list for eight years in a row since 2013.
