EDINBURG, TX— Breast Cancer continues to be the most common cancer among women worldwide and the second most common cancer overall. In 2014, an estimated 232,030 cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. However, it is important to know that at this present time a breast cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence, and it can be treated.

For that reason, we want to celebrate the breast cancer survivors in our community with a fashion show and dinner event, where the survivors will get to support one another and commemorate the triumph of their battling cancer. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

“Por Su Vida” will feature actual breast cancer survivors modeling clothing sponsored by Dillard’s at La Plaza Mall. Speakers such as medical oncologist Eugenio Galindo, M.D. will remind attendees about the importance of continuing breast examinations and spreading the word on cancer awareness to all their friends and family. As our special entertainment number, Rhythm Room Dance Studio will perform several dance numbers for our audience. The event will also offer breast cancer awareness information and a Dillard’s fashion show.  Many door prizes and giveaways will also be donated to our guests.
