Edinburg, Texas — DHR Health (DHR) today, opened the doors of its brand new DHR Health Transplant Institute facility. DHR celebrated the new institute by hosting a press conference and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, July 25th at 10:00 a.m.

Guests heard from DHR Health administrators and Transplant Institute physicians about the new facility and its role as the only CMS and UNOS certified kidney transplant center in South Texas! Tours of the new facility will be available after the ribbon cutting.

The new DHR Health Transplant Institute is home to their Kidney Transplant Center, Liver Specialty Center and the Hepatobiliary, Pancreas, and Organ Transplantation Surgery Center. DHR Health is the only approved kidney transplant center in South Texas, meaning members of the community no longer have to travel outside of the Rio Grande Valley to receive all of their transplant care.
