Sullivent will discuss the attack, the emergency medical care she received, and her recovery. She will also describe the role first responders and medical teams played in saving her life.

The conference will address medical challenges associated with the Rio Grande Valley’s varied outdoor environments, from brush country and rural communities to the Gulf Coast. Hunting, fishing, boating, swimming, and other activities can cause serious injuries that require rapid intervention, specialized medical knowledge, and coordinated emergency care.
