STHS Edinburg Hosting Special Hiring Event to Fill Vacant Operating Room Positions, July 11th

Each year, surgeons perform approximately 52 million surgical procedures in the United States, per the CDC, with procedures ranging from hysterectomies and C-sections to total knee replacements and open-heart surgeries.

In recent years, South Texas Health System Edinburg – the only Valley facility named a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News and World Report – has seen a double-digit increase in surgical cases, leading to the expansion of the facility’s surgical suite. 

In the coming weeks, STHS Edinburg – accredited as a Center of Excellence in robotic, minimally invasive and hernia surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation – will officially open two new operating rooms.

To help recruit additional registered nurses and surgical technicians for the expanded surgical suite, STHS Edinburg will be hosting a special onsite hiring event on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

If you like working in a fast-paced environment, where critical thinking is essential, you’re invited to attend the hiring event to learn more about working in our nationally recognized operating rooms at STHS Edinburg, which provides evidence-based critical care before, during and after surgical procedures for patients requiring a variety of attention for medical and surgical conditions. 

Operating room staff are trained in surgical procedures including trauma, orthopedic, spine, general, robotics, gynecology, urology, ENT, vascular and plastics. 

Open positions include:

• Certified Operating Room Surgical Tech 

• Certified Surgical Technician First Assistant 

• Nursing Manager RN Surgical Services 

• Registered Nurse Surgical Clinical Reviewer 

• Registered Nurse RN Surgical Services 

• Surgical Tech Student or Intern
