A milestone occurred at the 83rd Texas Legislature. Beginning with the 2015 graduating class, Texas school children will be required to learn CPR between 7-12th grade before they graduate.

Thanks go to the Texas Legislature for creating an army of lifesavers throughout Texas with this legislation which was sponsored by Rep. John Zerwas and Sen. Juan “Chuy” Hinojosa.

“For the fourth consecutive year, we are thrilled to be working with the American Heart Association, which provides life-saving education for everyone in our community,” said Dr. David Mercier, TSA President.
