WESLACO – Hidalgo County Precinct 1 Commissioner David L. Fuentes, in collaboration with Weslaco Mayor Adrian Gonzalez and the City of Weslaco, will host the 5th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Saturday, October 18, at 8 a.m. in Weslaco. The event is dedicated to raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and honoring survivors

This free, family-friendly event requires no registration, and all community members are invited to participate. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

“Our goal is to help save lives,” said Fuentes. “Let this walk serve as a reminder that early detection is the best protection against breast cancer.”

Mayor Adrian Gonzalez added, “The City of Weslaco is proud to stand with our community in this important cause. Together, we walk in unity, hope, and strength to honor survivors and support those still fighting.”

The walk will begin at Weslaco City Hall, located at 255 S. Kansas Ave. in Weslaco.
