Edinburg – DHR Health’s Level 1 Trauma Center and the DHR Health Orthopedic Institute have added another integral member to their life-saving teams. Marshall Gillette, M.D. is happy to be helping the communities he knows well in South Texas.

After receiving his B.S. in biology and kinesiology cum laude from the University of Texas Pan-American, Edinburg, in 2010, Gillette obtained his M.S. in medical sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, in 2011 and earned his M.D. at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, in 2015. He then had residency training in orthopedic surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center from 2015-20.

An Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honors Society inductee, Gillette is the author or coauthor of five articles in peer-reviewed professional journals, seven scientific presentations and one scientific abstract.

During his residency, Dr. Gillette served on a Trauma Medical Staff Committee coordinating and overseeing the care of trauma patients between the general surgery and orthopedic trauma teams.
