EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health, one of the largest physician-owned hospitals in the United States, proudly serving the Rio Grande Valley since 1997, is excited to welcome Dr. Jennifer Christiana Espinales to our prestigious team at the DHR Health Urology Institute. A Rio Grande Valley native, Dr. Espinales brings her passion and expertise to serve her community, offering a full range of urology services for both men and women. Her services will include robotic-assisted urologic procedures, treatment for kidney stones, care for women with recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs), erectile dysfunction, testicular cancer, bladder cancer, and more.

Dr. Espinales graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at Brownsville, then earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She went on to complete her urology residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio, where she received extensive training in both general urology and surgical procedures for urological conditions.

Inspired by her father’s health journey, Dr. Espinales pursued a career in medicine and chose urology after noticing the shortage of specialty services in the Valley. She is particularly dedicated to preventing complications from health conditions, aiming to provide her patients with better health outcomes and an improved quality of life. This commitment shapes her approach to patient care, where she not only focuses on providing effective surgical treatments but also seeks to identify and address the root causes of her patients’ conditions.
