EDINBURG, Texas – Dr. Diego Andres Aguilar Palacios is the newest member of the DHR Health Urology Institute team bringing experience in urology and general surgery to the Rio Grande Valley. 

He provides specialized care in the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive organs utilizing minimally invasive techniques and robotic surgery. 

Dr. Aguilar Palacios started his journey in medicine at the Universidad de Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2011 before completing his medical schooling at the Universidad de Azuay Facultad de Medicina in Cuenca, Ecuador under a full academic scholarship.

In 2016, he started a general surgery internship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, an Ohio non-profit academic medical center providing clinical and hospital care which is known as a leader in research, education and health information. It’s there where Dr. Aguilar Palacios completed a residency in Urology before choosing DHR Health Urology Institute as his next career move.

Dr. Aguilar Palacios is a member of the American Urologic Association and the American Society of Clinical Oncology and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
