Brownsville, TX – The Third Annual FAST 5K Run/Walk to benefit stroke awareness and prevention in the Valley will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 7:30 am at Sunrise Mall in Brownsville.

Brownsville Hospitals unite to create awareness in the community on the importance of understanding the signs and symptoms of stroke. Joining forces for the third year in arow are Valley Baptist Medical Center, South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, Valley Regional Medical Center, and Solara Specialty Hospital.

The event is free to all community members and will feature a 5k run/walk, health fair with blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, and Doc Talk with local neurologist, Luis Gaitan, M.D.
