EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health Women’s Hospital has reached a major milestone, completing over 8,500 robotic-assisted surgeries focused on women’s health. The hospital has expanded its program from just one to four robotic-assisted surgical systems, increasing access to minimally invasive gynecologic (GYN) procedures in the Rio Grande Valley.

The surgical team specializes in a range of procedures, including gynecological cancer surgeries, robotic-assisted hysterectomies, pelvic reconstruction, and fertility-sparing surgeries that help preserve the uterus and ovaries.

“This milestone reflects our commitment to providing expert, high-quality care to women across the Rio Grande Valley and beyond,” said Dr. Luna, OB/GYN and Robotic Surgical Gynecology Specialist. “Being recognized as a Center of Excellence in Women’s Minimally Invasive Robotic Surgery highlights our focus on positive outcomes and expert surgical care.”
