EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health is pleased to announce its newest surgeon, Dr. Fernando Lambreton Hinojosa to its esteemed team at the DHR Health Surgery Institute. Dr. Lambreton Hinojosa is fellowship trained, specializing in colon and rectal surgery. In his role, he will be diagnosing and treating conditions in this area, including anorectal diseases such as anal cancer, hemorrhoids, fistula, and prolapse. Additionally, he will specialize in minimally-invasive and robotic-assisted surgery procedures using the latest technology, only available at DHR Health. 

Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Dr. Lambreton Hinojosa is fluent in English and Spanish. He earned his medical degree from University of Monterrey Medical School graduating with high honors in 2016. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residency training in general surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He then furthered his medical education by completing a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery from Baylor University Medical Center.

Dr. Lambreton Hinojosa is currently a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and Latino Surgical Society. He has authored several publications and has proudly presented extensively in his field. 

“I am thrilled to join the medical community in the Rio Grande Valley and contribute to the health and well-being of its residents. As a colorectal surgeon, I look forward to using my skills and expertise to address the unique needs of our patients and make a positive impact on their lives,” he said.

Dr. Lambreton Hinojosa is accepting patient referrals and will see new patients at this office located at the DHR Health Medical Office Building located at 1100 E. Dove Avenue, Suite 300 in McAllen.
