DHR Health and DHR Health Brownsville participated in two proclamation events in honor of “National Donate Life Month,” which is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of organ, eye, and tissue donation, as well as honoring organ donors and their families.

On April 2, 2024, Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez and Commissioners held a proclamation at the Hidalgo County Commissioners Court, where Hidalgo County Judge officially declared the month of April as “National Donate Life Month in Hidalgo County.” This proclamation served as a testament to DHR Health’s commitment to promoting organ donation and saving lives.

Additionally, DHR Health Brownsville partnered with Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino Jr. and Commissioners for a second proclamation event on April 9, 2024, at the Cameron County Courthouse. The event reaffirmed DHR Health’s dedication to spreading awareness about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donation and recognizing the selfless donors who give the gift of life.
