 By the Texas Medical Association

As many of our licensees are aware, the recent cyberattack on Change Healthcare has hampered some patients’ ability to obtain certain necessary prescription medications.

The Texas Medical Board (TMB), in conjunction with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP), would like to take this opportunity to remind prescribers that during times when electronic prescribing is unavailable, practitioners are able to utilize the official, physical Schedule II prescription form provided by the TSBP.  These forms may be ordered online via the TSBP’s website at www.pharmacy.texas.gov/PMP/CIIforms.asp.
