Mega Doctor News was present at the much-anticipated ribbon-cutting ceremony of Driscoll’s latest Quick Care clinic in Edinburg, Texas, marking a significant expansion in pediatric healthcare services in the Rio Grande Valley. The event, held on Wednesday morning, was a formality and a celebration of Driscoll’s commitment to the children of South Texas.

As a nonprofit pediatric healthcare system, Driscoll has been a pillar in the community, serving South Texas for over 70 years. The opening of this Quick Care clinic in Edinburg demonstrates Driscoll’s continued dedication to providing accessible and quality healthcare to all children, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Sarah Garza, Vice President of Clinics and Physician Groups, welcomed attendees and introduced Eric Hamon, President and CEO of Driscoll Health System. Hamon’s address was brief yet impactful, highlighting the importance of community support in making such projects possible. He acknowledged the elected officials present and emphasized the role of the Quick Care clinic in offering convenient, efficient, and minor medical procedures for families and children.

The Quick Care clinic is next to the soon-to-open Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley, the area’s first freestanding designated children’s hospital. This region, known for its shortage of pediatricians, is set to benefit immensely from these expanded services. The clinic, managed by Sarah Garza, will provide prompt treatments and feature a dedicated local medical staff, staying open until 11 p.m. to accommodate various schedules.

Driscoll’s approach is deeply rooted in the vision of its founder, Clara Driscoll, who believed all children in South Texas should have access to quality healthcare. This new clinic is a step forward in fulfilling that vision, providing an essential service in a region with limited healthcare options.

Located at 2821 Michelangelo Dr, Suite 101, in Edinburg, TX, Driscoll’s latest Quick Care clinic is a medical facility and hope for families seeking accessible and reliable healthcare for their children. With plans to open Driscoll Children’s Hospital Rio Grande Valley, Driscoll continues to solidify its position as the premier healthcare provider for kids in South Texas, offering an expanding network of care that has been growing since 1953. This expansion represents more than just growth; it signifies a deep-rooted commitment to the health and well-being of the children in the Rio Grande Valley and beyond.
