McALLEN, Texas – Rio Grande Regional Hospital (RGRH) is proud and excited to announce that the Neuroscience team was recently recognized as a Recipient of the HCA Healthcare Critical Care – Progressive Care Unit of Distinction.  A total of 202 nursing units from across the country were recognized as top-performing nursing units. 

Units of Distinction are categorized in the top five percent of all HCA Healthcare medical-surgical, critical care, emergency services, surgical services, behavioral health, women’s and children’s nursing units, pediatrics/PICU, and inpatient rehabilitation units.  The top six to 10  percent of all HCA Healthcare units earned honorable mention designations. Our quality of care includes a multidisciplinary approach that consists of emergency room physicians, vascular-trained neurologists available 24-7, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, and an excellent rehabilitation team. 

Congratulations to the Neuroscience team for raising the bar and for their continued commitment to our mission, “Above all else, we are committed to the care and improvement of human life.”
