October is domestic violence awareness month. The Center Against Sexual and Family Violence (CASFV) is hosting Lead with Hope, a forum on domestic violence, to raise awareness about an issue that affects thousands in El Paso. The community will have the opportunity to hear from and discuss this issue with leaders from local and state levels. Discussions will be focused on how to ensure the safety of people experiencing domestic violence and advocate for marginalized populations, justice, and prevention.

Panelist: Gloria Terry, CEO of Texas Council on Family Violence

In her role as CEO, she guides and directs the statewide activities of TCFV, such as the Texas Legislative Session, establishing and fostering statewide tactical partnerships, working with staff to provide outstanding services to programs and strategically positioning TCFV to create the influence necessary to continue serving the needs of victims and their families.
