Driscoll begins vaccinating against COVID-19

On Wednesday, Jaime Fergie, MD, Director of Infectious Diseases at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, was the first staff member at Driscoll Children’s Hospital to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination. Administering the vaccine is Driscoll Children’s Hospital staff member Susan Carroll, RN. Driscoll received 1,000 of the vaccines Wednesday. This round is only for clinical staff, but it eventually will be available to all Driscoll Health System employees.

On Wednesday, Jesse Munoz, RN, was the first nurse at Driscoll Children’s Hospital to receive the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination. Administering the vaccine is Driscoll Children’s Hospital staff member Nancy Rodriguez, RN. Driscoll received 1,000 of the vaccines Wednesday. This round is only for clinical staff, but it eventually will be available to all Driscoll Health System employees.

Driscoll Children’s Hospital received 1,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine Wednesday and they immediately started vaccinating clinical workers. Eventually the vaccine will be available to all Driscoll Health System employees.
