In the Rio Grande Valley, the National Hispanic Professional Organization (NHPO) – RGV Chapter has long served as a platform for professionals to connect, collaborate and grow.
“One of the greatest benefits of networking is the opportunity to learn from others while building relationships that can support both personal and professional growth,” said Emilio Santos, Chair, NHPO – RGV. “Through NHPO-RGV, we’re proud to create environments where professionals can share ideas, expand their networks and strengthen the business community throughout the Rio Grande Valley.”
This month, NHPO-RGV invites business professionals from across the region to attend its latest Networking Event on Thursday, September 17, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mikhuna Japanese-Peruvian Cuisine, located at 905 N. Main St., McAllen, TX 78501.
“We’re grateful to Mikhuna for hosting this month’s networking event and for supporting opportunities that bring local professionals together,” said Tom Castañeda, Vice Chair, NHPO – RGV. “Community partnerships like these help strengthen the connections that fuel business growth throughout the region.”
Mikhuna brings together the best of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine through its unique Nikkei fusion menu, combining bold Peruvian flavors with the precision and artistry of Japanese cooking. Using fresh, high-quality ingredients, the restaurant offers a memorable dining experience for guests whether they are visiting with friends, family or colleagues.
NHPO-RGV members and guests are invited to enjoy an evening of professional networking, complimentary appetizers and door prizes. The dress code is business casual, with gentlemen encouraged to wear a coat.

NHPO-RGV hosts networking events on the third Thursday of each month and offers educational workshops and professional development opportunities throughout the year. Membership is available at the individual, nonprofit, business and corporate levels, with annual memberships starting at $50.
Founded to empower and connect Hispanic professionals, NHPO-RGV provides networking, mentorship, professional development and community engagement opportunities across the Rio Grande Valley. The chapter regularly supports initiatives that advance education, workforce development and community well-being.
