DHR Health Celebrates Graduating Class of Medical Residents, Fellows, and Pharmacy Residents

DHR Health proudly celebrated the accomplishments of its graduates from their Graduate Medical Education (GME) program during a special graduation ceremony held on June 13, 2026, at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. The event honored over 30 medical residents, fellows, and pharmacy residents who successfully completed their respective medical advanced training program. Hospital leadership, as well as family members, were all gathered to celebrate this important milestone.

EDINBURG, Texas – DHR Health proudly celebrated the accomplishments of its graduates from their Graduate Medical Education (GME) program during a special graduation ceremony held on June 13, 2026, at the Edinburg Conference Center at Renaissance. The event honored over 30 medical residents, fellows, and pharmacy residents who successfully completed their respective medical advanced training program. Hospital leadership, as well as family members, were all gathered to celebrate this important milestone.

The ceremony recognized physicians and pharmacists who have dedicated years to progressive education and hands-on patient care, preparing them to serve communities across the nation with excellence, compassion, and expertise.

“This graduation represents the culmination of years of hard work, sacrifice, and dedication,” said Marissa Castaneda, DHR Health senior executive vice president and emcee for the event. “We are incredibly proud of our graduates as we know they make meaningful contributions to throughout their career in healthcare.”

The GME graduates completed advanced training in a variety of medical specialties and completed their rigorous training under the guidance of experienced DHR Health faculty physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

“Today we celebrate more than just the completion of training, we celebrate the beginning of careers dedicated to healing, compassion, and service,” said Dr. Jessica Guarjardo Martin, DHR Health GME designated institutional official. “We are proud of these physicians and pharmacists who have embraced the highest standards of clinical excellence,” added Dr. Martin further explained that GME programs play a critical role in developing highly skilled healthcare providers while helping address physician and pharmacist workforce needs in communities throughout Texas and beyond.
