Summer is a great time to get your health in order, including getting those preventive screenings that you put off in the earlier part of the year. To help you get healthy and stay healthy, South Texas Health System will be hosting its Healthy Summer Screening Series at three of its freestanding emergency departments throughout June and July.
The free screenings include blood pressure checks, Body Mass Index (BMI) screenings, glucometer checks, as well as important information on recommended screenings for men and women. You will also have the opportunity to speak with STHS staff about additional screening options available, including cash pricing on laboratory and radiology services available at the freestanding emergency departments.
The first screening will take place on Saturday, June 25, on the grounds of South Texas Health System ER Mission and continue in the month of July. The schedule is as follows:
South Texas Health System ER Mission: Saturday, June 25 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m
South Texas Health System ER McColl: Saturday, July 9 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m
South Texas Health System ER Weslaco: Saturday, July 23 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m
There will be live music and free snacks and beverages will be provided.
